What's the best camera for nature photos that has Auto focus?

I am looking for a camera with great depth of field, easy to use, and focuses well. I mostly take nature shots so I want the trees to actually look like trees. I am frustrated with my Nikon point and shoot because a lot of my nature shots look washed out and the trees look like a watercolor. I set it on landscape and choose the "vivid color" setting but the colors do not look vivid.
