Don't listen to john. i have a Compaq, and its never failed me before. The laptop is good, but it needs more ram. 512mb is just barely pushing it. The HDD, could be upgraded to a bit bigger in size, but its OK. The s-video is a nice feature on the laptop, since you can hook it up to a TV, and watch movies on it through the laptop. And, a Pentium M is pretty good. Its better then a Pentium 4, which is what I have.
Overall, its nice. Just get more ram ( like 1 0r 2 gigs ), and that thing will keep you set for a couple years.
